Why Use Mediation-Counselling?
Finding an alternative to dispute Mediation-Counselling may help you to save not only time and money. The focus is not just on the practicalities of ending a relationship, or on feelings alone. It is to incorporate both of these aspects into a holistic approach with the aim of a positive outcome.
How Does Mediation-Counselling Work?
You will have an initial assessment session jointly which lasts up to an hour. This is so that you can each begin to identify some of the issues that you want to address with the other person. If you then decide to proceed with Mediation-Counselling, then we will arrange up to 5 more sessions. At the end of the 5 sessions, you should be able to produce a written, workable agreement that you are both willing to put into practice.
PLEASE NOTE: this agreement is not legally binding.
My Background
I am a BACP Senior Accredited Counsellor with training in community and workplace mediation. As well as being a couples’ counsellor. I work in a Brief Solution Focused and Cognitive Behavioural way. Over my years in practice, I have realised how many individuals and couples come for counselling whilst in dire straits financially, emotionally and practically. I concluded that a service that offers both counselling and mediation for relationship problems could be helpful when people are working through what is often a difficult time.
What is the Cost?
The initial assessment of one hour is £45 per person, (totalling £90 for this session) Subsequent sessions lasting up to one and a half hours are £50 per person (totalling £100 for each session)
